The other reviews are true! This place truly is a gem, off the beaten path. We got a hamburger special sandwich, a grilled cheese sandwich, a Reuben, a flounder sandwich, pimento dip and chips....

Just delightful. This place meets my double-rule of "no chains" and "no interstates". Parking was tight, and tables were full, as it was time for the Sunday lunch rush. I got biscuits and gravy...

If I can suggest anything it is to take a nice Sunday afternoon drive through the National Forest and stop at Whites's. It will not disappoint you and if you're lucky...they'll still have loaves...
