Roanoke Parks and Recreation is a nationally accredited municipal agency that oversees nearly 13,000 acres of public land in the Roanoke Valley, offering a wide range of recreational opportunities. With 51 parks, seven greenways, eight recreation centers, and more than 100 miles of trails, the department provides residents and visitors with ample space for outdoor activities, including athletics, arts and culture events, fitness and wellness programs, and community special events.
