Established in 1955, Wakefield Forest Elementary School is a learning center that serves more than 490 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school is governed by Fairfax County Public Schools, which serves over 164,840 students through nearly 230 elementary, middle and high schools and alternative learning and special education centers. It provides English for Speakers of Other Languages and special education programs. The school offers various activities, such as art, music and physical education. People moving to this neighborhood are willing to put down over half a million dollars (2012) for 3-4 BR homes built in the 60's to have their kids attend Wakefield. There are many great schools...
