Since 1839, Virginia Military Institute alumni have helped mold the history of America. The VMI Museum traces the amazing civilian and military careers of many alumni. Among the ranks of the alumni are Nobel Prize recipients, Pulitzer Prize winners, explorers, film stars, national, state and local political and civic leaders. The VMI Museum is open seven days a week 9AM-5PM.

If you are visiting Virginia Military Institute, you should stop by the museum. It is right on campus. Free parking is available all over campus. We parked in front of the barracks and walked...

Very friendly staff are eager to great you and provide a tour upon request (mostly lead by cadets). The artifacts are all very unique and the exhibits provide a wide range of stories and factoids....
