The US FreedomWalk Festival is a premier, non-competitive international walking event co-hosted by Arlington County, America's Walking Club, and the IML Walking Association. Its mission is to promote walking as a fitness activity while fostering international friendships and showcasing the cultural landmarks of Arlington and Washington, DC.
Taking place over the third weekend in October, the festival includes three days of walking activities, featuring trails ranging from 6 to 14 miles, and allows participants of all ages and abilities to engage in fun, fitness, and camaraderie. In addition to the annual signature event, the festival sponsors various year-round walking and biking events for participants to enjoy at their convenience.
