The U.S. Army Women's Museum is the only one in the world that tells the history and contributions of women to the Army. The Army is the only branch of the U.S. Armed Forces to have a museum dedicated to preserving the history of women's service.The Museum serves as an educational institution, providing military history training to soldiers, veterans and civilians. The Museum has one of the most comprehensive and expansive collections in the world of primary and secondary documents pertaining to the history of U.S. Army women. The museum is the custodian and repository of artifacts and archival material pertaining to the service of women across all branches and organizations of the U.S. Army from inception to the present day. The museum collects, preserves, manages, interprets and exhibits these unique artifacts as a means to provide training and educational outreach. The museum re-opened Nov 2, 2018 and boasts over 11,000 sq ft of new exhibits, activities and videos.
