Amelia Lumber Sales, LLC was formed in 2000 from Amelia Lumber Company, Inc, founded in 1955 by L.O. Scott, Sr.From 1955 to 2000, Amelia Lumber Company handled all aspects of operations including timber procurement, manufacturing, drying, millwork, treating, sales and distribution of quality southern yellow pine lumber, both pressure treated and un-treated.The decision to divide Amelia Lumber Company's operations was a direct result of its founder and his two sons desire to insure that only the highest quality lumber products be manufactured and sold to their customers.To accomplish their goal, Amelia Lumber Sales, LLC was formed and took control over the pressure treating operations, lumber purchasing and sales/distribution. This allowed for closer attention to each area of its manufacturing operations. Three years later, the decision to divide the operations has proven to be beneficial to its owners - and more importantly to their highly valued customers. Both companies remain under the direct leadership of its founder L.O.
