HistoryFounder, George Drexel started early. He wanted to be an Indian. On a deeper level, this desire was for a way of life that was not only about belonging. It was also about living deliberately, simply and with gratitude toward others and the natural world. Leaving home at the age of ten, he quickly learned that self-management was crucial to balanced living. Graduating 8th grade with the Headmasters Award, he went on to a high school at a Benedictine Monastery. Feeling a strong connection to the Christian mystics, he continued studying philosophy, psychology and art in college, UNC Chapel Hill. Throughout the 1980s, George immersed himself in many self-development workshops in NYC. In 1989 in a meditation intensive, he received Shakipat (awakening) from his teacher, Gurumayi. This began his journey within. In 2015 Mr. Drexel completed a Masters Degree in Transformative Leadership and Social Change at the Maryland University of Integrative Health.SpecialtiesThere are many challenges these days to hearing one's deeper longing. There is so much pressure, stimulation, distraction and no time to sort it all out. Why are you really here? What are you to do with your life? These are some of the core questions we focus on.
