The Hague School

Established in 2002, John Tyler Elementary School is a neighborhood school that serves nearly 700 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The school is administered by Portsmouth Public Schools, which has an enrollment of more than 15,000 students in over 25 educational institutions. Its chorus is a group of third-, fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders who practice and improve their singing. Located in Portsmouth, Va., John Tyler Elementary School has a staff of approximately 75 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes a reading specialist, guidance counselors, speech therapists, technology support assistants, instructional advisors, custodians, librarians, art and music teachers, and health and physical education instructors.

Crestwood Middle School s parent-teacher association organizes fundraising events and volunteer activities. The school s athletics department supports several sports, such as basketball, cheerleading, football, softball, track, volleyball and wrestling. Established in 1975, Fairfield Elementary School serves more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school is a part of Virginia Beach City Public Schools. It offers general academic, special education, and gifted and talented education programs. The school also offers programs in art, music, computer science and physical education. Fairfield Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that supports and sponsors a variety of school events and activities. Its staff includes classroom teachers, speech therapists, and media and reading specialists. In addition, it provides medical care and guidance counseling services to students.
