Tazewell Middle School

Tazewell Middle School offers a range of academic and extracurricular options to more than 500 students in grades six through eight. It maintains a staff of over 40 teachers. The school s curriculum includes reading, math, art, music, agriculture studies, physical education, earth science and English. It also provides classes in Spanish, band, algebra and resource management. The school operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising events and programs. It organizes a variety of athletic activities, such as football, volleyball and cheerleading. Tazewell Middle School conducts essay competitions and brain games. It administers the Effective Schoolwide Discipline program. The school is a part of Tazewell County Public Schools, which governs various elementary, middle and high schools.
