Suzanne Brixey, MD

Dr. Pelletier completed her residency program at CHKD in 2006 and practiced with General Booth Pediatrics for 10 years. In 2016 she moved to Richmond to be with her husband and two "bonus" sons. But while in private practice there, Dr. Pelletier learned just how much she missed and respected CHKD and its unique network of CHKD Health System specialists to whom she could refer her patients.

Dr. Desoto enjoys working with all age groups and especially loves the opportunity to support families as their children grow. From helping families with feeding their infant to helping them navigate life with teenagers, she considers getting to know a family as they grow a wonderful honor.

Dr. McGuire came to CHKD after a pediatric surgical fellowship at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. Prior to that, she completed a surgical critical care fellowship at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Her general surgery residency was completed at the University of Massachusetts. As a pediatric surgeon, Dr. McGuire believes it is important to provide care to the whole family and to understand that even the most straightforward operation is still being done to someone's baby. She always strives to imagine how her parents would feel and to treat every family as she would want her family treated.
