Amelia Academy
Amelia Academy, based in Amelia Court House, Va., was founded in 1964 and provides education to students from prekindergarten through grade 12. The school offers a variety of subjects, such as English, health and physical education, social studies, foreign language, mathematics, laboratory science, fine arts, and electives. Amelia Academy follows the Scott Foresman curriculum. It also offers typing, keyboarding, word-processing, calculus, world geography, business law, physics, chemistry, and economics. Additionally, the school provides classes in creative writing, journalism, speech composition, psychology, criminal justice, computers and Scholastic Assessment Test preparation. Amelia Academy s sporting activities include soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, basketball, softball and baseball.
