Sully Historic Site Sully was the 1794 home of Richard Bland Lee, Northern Virginia's first Representative to Congress. Sully is on the National Register for Historic Places, is accredited by the American Association of Museums, and is part of the National Park Service’s Underground Railroad Network to Freedom. Grounds and trails are free and open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Guided tours of the house are available Thursdays through Sundays at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Please visit our website to see ticket prices and to pre-register for a tour. The Forgotten Road Tour, which explore the lives and experiences of the enslaved people who lived and worked at Sully, is available Thursdays through Sundays at 2 p.m. This is a one-hour, outdoor walking tour of the original outbuildings and slave quarter.

Closed to cars! Will you believe it? Nonetheless an awesome historical site. Colonial farmers and adventurers from New York, came down to resettle and work the lands around hills at this site....

The key is when you go. This was Congressman Richard Bland Lee. If I remember he served and lived here late 1790's. As one can surmise he did have slaves, which is a reprehensible and disgusting...
