The Museum is open daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (with the exception of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day and New Year's Day). The Museum houses Spotsylvania County's history, beginning with early Native Americans and continuing through the Civil War. The museum is located in the red building on the property at 6159 Plank Road on State Route 3 in Spotsylvania County next to the American Battlefield Trust's 1st Day at Chancellorsville where there are walking trails and scenic landscapes to enjoy after your visit to the museum. Free parking.
