The Smyth County Museum, operated by the Smyth County Historical and Museum Society, is located in downtown Marion. Founded in 1961, our mission is to Preserve and Protect the rich history of Smyth County, Virginia. We showcase local artifacts related to this history. Our museum is located in the former Parks-Belk building, next to the Lincoln Theater and across from Wolfe's BBQ.
