Roanoke County Commissioner

County Administrator is one of the departments operated by the county government of Roanoke in Virginia. The department governs and supervises the functioning of various other service departments and divisions of the county government. It is responsible for supervising the functioning of several departments, including clerk s office, community development, county attorney, economic development, engineering, elections and finance departments. County Administrator also offers administrative services for the departments of fire and rescue, facilities management, human resources, law library, management and budget, and parks, recreation and tourism. The department supervises the functioning of departments of planning and zoning, police, public information office, purchasing, real estate valuation, sheriff s office, social services, environment management, treasurer and juvenile justice.
