Dr. O'Keefe earned a B.S. in Biology with honors from The College of William and Mary and an M.D. with honors from The University of Virginia. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at Emory Eye Care Center, followed by a prestigious two-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery and Diseases. Board-certified and a fellow of the AAO, he is also an active member of the Virginia Society of Ophthalmology. His expertise includes retinal detachments, macular surgery, retinal vascular diseases, retinopathy of prematurity, ocular tumors, and diabetic retinopathy.
