Randall Fisher, MD

Dr. Flatin is medical director of Care Connection for Kids. Care Connection for Kids is part of a statewide system that helps families with children with special health care needs receive the community, educational and medical care they need so that they can reach their maximum potential. Dr. Flatin has been a board certified pediatrician since 1992. She is assistant professor of pediatrics at EVMS and has been with GAP since 1995.

During his medical training, Dr. Carmody became fascinated with kidney disease and renal physiology. After completing his residency training at CHKD, he returned to UVA for a fellowship in pediatric nephrology, then came back to CHKD to join the Children's Kidney Center and to be a part of Virginia's only freestanding children's hospital. The Children's Kidney Center is equipped to manage all types of kidney disease. The center has the only dedicated pediatric dialysis unit and the only pediatric-specific kidney transplant program in the state of Virginia.
