RAMCA was formed to represent the interests of utility, heavy, and highway constructors, and their industry associates, who perform work or conduct business in the greater Richmond metropolitan area. For over forty years RAMCA has provided a forum to work cooperatively with the City of Richmond and surrounding counties on a broad range of mutually important issues relating to the infrastructure needs of the area. In addition, the association provides a way for member firms to participate in a number of activities designed to improve their business practices, and the construction environment in which they work. These activities include safety seminars, general membership meetings with topical speakers, newsletter mailings and a broad range of other timely industry communications. The association's extensive committee structure provides a way for industry issues to be discussed, and the RAMCA Board of Directors is the governing body that determines what actions, if any, need to be taken in support of the association's goals.
