Pitstop Coffee Bar

History

In May of 2017, MAAP opened its doors to the public! Executive Director, Cole Scrogham, wanted to bring the love of the automobile to the next generation. In collaboration with JMU's former president, Lin Rose, MAAP was born! We provide students with educational classes and institutes in the auto industry and allow them to gain hands-on experience for their future careers. Adjacent to our shop is Pitstop Coffee Bar, the fuel that keeps US going! Our staff and student-interns say it's better than Starbucks and Greenberry's! Our espresso is made from one of the only authentic Italian espresso machines in the United States! Our machinery combined with our local beans and steamed milk, make this the perfect wake-me-up - it is also very delicious! Stop by for a new and exciting atmosphere where you won't be disappointed.

Specialties

Adjacent to a vintage car shop, our coffee bar serves as the fuel that keeps us (and you) going! We have everything from pour-overs to lattes and even aeropress! We like to call our varieties the names of older Porsches because we specialize in vintage Porsche restorations. Take a walk around and enjoy your 356 latte while you look at the beautiful cars!
