History

Javier Figueroa-Ray, a private chef known as the 'Chef with no Kitchen', and Sober Pierre of Pearl Island Foods, a Caribbean-focused small-batch food manufacturer, brought their vision of a Caribbean-inspired catering company to the city of Charlottesville and surrounding areas. With Sober Pierre's family hailing from Haiti, and Javier Figueroa-Ray originating from Puerto Rico, Pearl Island Catering has given them an opportunity to reconnect with their roots and share their distinct fusion of Afro-Caribbean flavors and cuisine with positive reception.
