Bowling Green Electronics, also known as Bealenet, has been in operation since 1984. The company started as a full-time electronics repair shop, and then went into satellite dish sales, installation and repair. It is a family business, owned and operated by Jan and Frank Beale. It has grown to more than 100 phone lines and nearly 10 Linux servers that make it possible for the company to offer Internet access to families and businesses throughout central Virginia. All of Bealenet's PACI online proposal systems are backed up with emergency batteries or generators to insure that access is available consistently. It provides unmetered usage, dial-up point-to-point protocol accounts with multiple family e-mail addresses and 10 Megs of space. It supports modem speeds up to 56 KBPS with V.90 standards. Asymmetric digital subscriber lines, frame-relay and domain hosting services are also available. Bowling Green Electronics is headquartered in Bowling Green, Va.
