Family physician Nicholas Tavani, MD, PhD, leads the team at Battlefield Family Medicine & Weight Management. Having served the local residents of Manassas, Virginia, for over two decades, Dr. Tavani and the team take a compassionate approach to care and promote healthy lifestyles to patients and their families.Dr. Tavani earned his Bachelor of Science at the Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, in 1974. Dr. Tavani recieved his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He then completed his internship in family medicine at Providence Hospital through Georgetown University, followed by his residency in family medicine at the University of Maryland Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly. Welcome to Lasting Serenity. I am Juanita McDonnell and have been working as a nurse practitioner in the mental health field since 2016. I believe that the best approach to treatment is to educate each client about their condition and then provide options for treatment. With that information, together we can work on a plan that meets mutually agreed upon goals. I do not believe in a "cookie-cutter" approach to treatment. Instead, knowing that each client is so much more than their diagnosis, creating individualized and specific treatment plans to meet their needs is my goal at each and every appointment.
