What an awesome place! We ordered the soppressata, mortadella, and prosciutto even though we weren't exactly sure what it was. I'm not really into sandwiches, but this was an amazing sandwich....

History
Our story begins in 1920 when Nick Mouris, founder of Nick's International Foods, came to American from Greece on a $700 passage. He began by selling produce out of the trunk of his car. The first market was in the 6th Street Marketplace in downtown Richmond, VA. From there Nick's kept expanding going from the a produce company to the Mediterranean specialty store that it is today.

Fantastic selection of niche Mediterranean foods and products! Olive oils, spices, premade meals, wines, desserts and sometimes produce for great prices! Family owned too. Very clean and friendly!

Where have you been hiding this place all my life?! It's like someone took a Mediterranean foods market and a Brooklyn deli, squashed them together and plunked them down in downtown Richmond....
