National Consumer Cooperative Bank, doing business as NCB, provides financial services to cooperatives and other member-owned organizations throughout the country. Chartered by Congress in 1978, NCB was privatized in 1981 as a cooperative, and today is owned by more than 1,800 of its member-customers. The bank provides a variety of personal banking products and services, including financing, checking, savings and online banking. In addition to helping cooperatives and other member-owned organizations through its nonprofit affiliate NCB Development Corporation, it delivers community services to support affordable assisted living, affordable housing, economic development, health care, education and disability efforts.
