As one of forty Community Service Boards in the state of Virginia, Cumberland Mountain Community offers a comprehensive array of services in mental health, substance abuse and mental retardation. The company is located in Southwestern Virginia, about equidistant between Roanoke, Va. and Knoxville, Tenn. Its service area consists of Buchanan, Russell and Tazewell Counties, approximately 1500 square miles, with a total population of 106,400. CMCSB is a very progressive and innovative agency operating 21 different locations within the three counties. The company also is one of the largest employers in Southwestern Virginia, with approximately 395 full-time, part-time and client-employees on our payroll.
