Mayer Electric

History

I started working as an apprentice electrician in 1973 in new commercial construction. I worked for several electrical contractors and gained experience and knowledge as well as attending NFPA-NEC code classes and becoming a licensed electrician in 1977. I continued to work for a large electrical contractor as a foreman on various sizes and scopes of projects and prepared to test for my Master electricians examination which I passed in 1978. I started Mayer Electric in 1980 and have completed many types, sizes and scopes of projects including but not limited to new multiple and single family housing, new commercial buildings for the Salem VA Administration, new installation and repair of Class 1 Division 1 hazardous location wiring for gas pumping and storage locations. Rewiring, repairing and remodeling all types of existing residential and commercial structures. Electrical service changes single and 3 phase, all types of emergency and standby generator installations including solar.
