Maury High School

Maury High School, founded in 1911, offers classes from grades nine through 12. It is fully accredited by the Virginia Department of Education and has an enrollment of more than 1,900 students. The school s Freshman Academy offers elective courses that include time management, communication, technology, community service, career planning and test-taking skills. The school also operates an esembler program that enables parents to access a teacher s grade book, syllabus, attendance and homework online. Additionally, the school s media center features a collection of more than 18,000 books, videos, computer programs and over 25 computer workstations. Located in Norfolk, Va., Maury High School is a part of the Norfolk Public Schools that serves more than 37,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
