It offers programs and services to improve the quality of life for students and families in the targeted population, providing a sheltered school environment for students who require a flexible educational program due to health, economic, safety, or other circumstances. Asbury Optional High School, a part of the center, offers a nontraditional educational plan for students who need alternative options to earn credits and complete requirements for a regular high school diploma. With over 25 years of operation, the program has successfully awarded regular diplomas to more than 2,500 students.
