Lakeland Highschool

Lakeland High School is an educational institute that offers learning opportunities for students in grades 9 through 12. It enrolls more than 1,200 students. The school s academic curriculum includes a variety of subjects, such as English, math, science and history. It operates chess, drama, Spanish and ecology clubs. In addition, the school organizes a range of extracurricular activities, including band, choir, and arts and crafts. It offers several sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer and softball. Lakeland High School maintains foreign language and fine arts, as well as career, technical and health and physical education departments. The school employs a staff of teachers and paraprofessionals, including academic instructors, coordinators and guidance counselors. Located in Suffolk, Va., is a part of Suffolk Public Schools, which also operates John F. Kennedy Middle School, Elephant's Fork Elementary, King's Fork High School and Kilby Shores Elementary.
