John Kocur Music

History

John Kocur has been performing music in the Washington, DC metropolitan area for over 10 years. He has performed in nearly every major music venue and event center in the area. His band, the John Kocur Quartet, has performed at the area's most prestigious music venues including Blues Alley, the Hamilton, the J.F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Strathmore. He has released two albums of original music and performed as a sideman on numerous recordings. As a sideman, he has performed in many genres of music including jazz, blues, rock, hip-hop, bluegrass, religious, and R & B. His music has taken him across the world to places such as Japan and Switzerland.
