International Rhino Foundation
The International Rhino Foundation (IRF) is a global organization dedicated to the conservation of rhinos and their habitats in Africa and Asia. Through grants and field programs, IRF supports rhino conservation efforts in 10 countries, focusing on scientific research, anti-poaching, habitat conservation, captive breeding, environmental education, and demand reduction.
Founded in response to intense poaching of black rhinos in Zimbabwe in the early 1990s, IRF has grown to support all five remaining rhino species. The organization prioritizes collaboration with a network of conservation organizations, foundations, corporations, government agencies, and individuals worldwide to achieve common goals for rhino conservation.
