The Hunt Shrine at Historic Jamestowne in Virginia pays tribute to Reverend Robert Hunt, the first Anglican minister of the colony. Erected in 1922 by the Colonial Dames of America, this shrine commemorates the earliest celebration of the Holy Communion in the first permanent English settlement in America.

Designed by Ralph Adams Cram, the shrine features a bas-relief depicting the 1607 service, surrounded by two 16-foot-high brick pillars supporting a sandstone arch. Originally set facing the James River, the shrine now overlooks the river from the northern earthwork of Civil War-era Fort Pocahontas, providing a picturesque amphitheater setting.

Number 14 on the Visit Map, the Hunt Shrine offers visitors a glimpse into the religious history of Jamestown and the enduring legacy of Reverend Robert Hunt, a figure described by fellow settlers as an "honest, religious and courageous divine" who brought comfort and unity to the early colonists during challenging times.
