Hamilton Safety Center
The Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the community since 1944, providing essential firefighting services to the Town of Hamilton, the Villages of Waterford and Paeonian Springs, and the unincorporated community of Mount Gilead. With a dedicated team of more than 40 members, including 28 active volunteers, the department is committed to protecting and educating the community about fire safety.
In addition to their firefighting duties, the department actively engages in public education initiatives, including resources for fire safety and prevention. They celebrate events like the annual Chili Cook-off, fostering community spirit while emphasizing the importance of fire safety through various programs and checklists.
