The Hahn Horticulture Garden is a 6-acre teaching and display garden on the campus of Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA; open from dawn to dusk, 365 days/year. The garden features perennial borders, water gardens, shade gardens, a meadow garden, and the Peggy Lee Hahn Garden Pavilion (and plants, of course. Lots of plants.) Visit us in all seasons - to relax, enjoy, learn, and grow! Make sure to obtain a VT Visitor parking pass before parking at the garden. This is on the campus. I would say the only downside to visiting was that you needed a special permit to park outside and it closes at 5pm. A beautiful sanctuary and unusual plants.
