Greenbrier Farms Nursery, established in 1916 as Greenbrier Farms Inc., is one of the largest wholesale landscape nurseries in the world. Based in Chesapeake, Va., the company s plants cater to the beautification of landscapes in every state east of the Mississippi River. Arlington National Cemetery, the White House grounds in Washington, D.C. and mass merchants in the upper Midwest have used many of the company s horticultural products as specimen plants. Greenbrier Farms Inc. is a member of the American Nursery & Landscape Association (ANLA), Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association, North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association and Southern Nursery Association (SNA). The nursery grows trees and shrubs on its more than 500 acres of facility. In addition, it has 12 acres of greenhouses for container grown plants.
