She stayed at George Washington University to complete her internship in internal medicine. She then moved to Los Angeles, California to undergo her dermatology residency at King-Drew/Harbor UCLA Medical Center, serving as chief resident her final year. Shortly after moving back to Virginia, she established Renascance Dermatology.
