Nice park along the Potomac River to get in a run along the Mount Vernon Trail. Look out for the Fitness Stations at points throughout. Some bathrooms here and there, but the one by the parking...

Nice city park and NPS site. Good place for kids to run around. Has a junior ranger program you can mail in. Not a destination but if looking for park in area, this will do the job.
