Thomas started working with dogs at the Humane Society back in 1991 and started For the Love of Dog in 2003.

One thing that is different about us , we are very careful to grow slowly and steadily so that we can provide the best possible pet care here in Alexandria and parts of Arlington. This enables us to never take on more then we can handle. Your dog will never have their walk time shortened so that we can hurry to the next area. Your pet will never have to worry about being forgotten from the schedule. You don't have to worry about the constant carousel of new walkers coming in and out of your home. Our average walker works with us for 2 to 3 years! Not the typical 2-3 months. We have many clients that have only ever known one dog walker. Our walkers receive extensive training, have had complete background checks and are fully licensed, bonded and insured.
