Flint Hill Elementary School has an annual enrollment of more than 700 students in prekindergarten through grade six. It is governed by Fairfax County Public Schools, which is one of the largest school systems in Virginia with a population of nearly 163,000 students in over 200 schools. Established in 1952, the school has business partnerships with Interstate Worldwide Relocation, Sunrise Assisted Living at Hunter Mill and Outback Steakhouse in Vienna. Flint Hill Elementary School conducts a buddy school program with DeLisle Elementary School in Mississippi. The school organizes various special programs, such as reading recovery, Book Buddies and Junior Great Books, as well as a readers program that is sponsored by the state of Virginia. Located in Vienna, Va., Flint Hill Elementary School maintains a parent-teacher association that supports several activities, including cultural arts programs and science and fun fairs, as well as Mad Science and GRACE art.
