First National Bank - Altavista Main Office

Pinnacle Bankshares Corporation is a one-bank holding company that was organized in 1997. It conducts all of its business activities through the branch offices of its wholly owned subsidiary bank, the First National Bank of Altavista, Va. The bank was organized in 1908 to provide services to commercial and agricultural businesses and individuals in the Altavista area. With an emphasis on personal service, the bank offers a broad range of commercial and retail banking products and services, including checking, savings and time deposits, individual retirement accounts, merchant bankcard processing, residential and commercial mortgages, home equity loans, consumer installment loans, agricultural loans, investment loans, small business loans, commercial lines of credit and letters of credit. At the end of 2005, Pinnacle Bankshares had nearly $250 million in assets. It has several branch offices in Lynchburg, Forest and Moneta, Va., as well as Altavista.
