Fertilizer Institute

Established in 1969, The Fertilizer Institute is an association, which represents the commercial fertilizer industry in the United States. Based in Washington, D.C., the association is the fertilizer industry s voice before Congress and federal agencies. It puts forward the communication and statistical needs of producers, manufacturers, retailers and transporters of fertilizers. Additionally, it provides a variety of statistics and fertilizer related scientific issues on a regular basis. The Fertilizer Institute works with the Association of American Plant Food Control Officials (AAPFCO) to promote uniformity in state fertilizer laws. It also partners with the Potash and Phosphate Institute (PPI) in addressing state, regional and national nutrient use issues.
