History

Disciple Thrift was started to support the Central Virginia Disciple, a Christian Youth Football team for high school age young men who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to play organized high school football. The Central Virginia Disciples were founded by Dave and Tracie Hollis, the parents of Disciple Thrift's co-owner William Hollis and aunt and uncle of the other co-owner, Brandon Johnson. J.D. Hollis, William's brother, Brandon's cousin, helps coach the Central Virginia Disciples.
