He then completed a fellowship at Chicago Foot and Ankle Deformity Correction Center in Chicago, Illinois, before finishing his training with a residency at Florida Hospital East Orlando in Orlando, Florida. He became Chief Resident there and received extensive training in congenital conditions, flatfoot, pediatric clubfoot, and arthroscopic surgery, among other topics. Throughout his career, Dr. Vazales has earned a plethora of awards for his research and clinical podiatric care. He stays abreast of the latest developments in his field through professional memberships in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Microsurgical Orthoplastic Society, the Virginia Podiatric Medical Association, and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
