Robert T. Criner Robert T. Criner, the president of Criner Remodeling, founded the company in 1977 and has led the company to grow to a successful and profitable business. He began working for a remodeling contractor in the summer of 1972. He then started with a one-man operation and today the company has a team of eleven professionals in the remodeling industry. Criner has constantly been involved in the community and has given back in numerous ways. He currently serves on the board of directors of the following organizations: Criner is currently an instructor for the Virginia Contractor Basic Business Course at Thomas Nelson Community College. Chairman of the Major Gifts division of a 4 million dollar fund raising effort to build the Peninsula Catholic High School. When hurricane Isabel blew through Poquoson and York County, Robert Criner was there to help with his remodeling expertise. Even when his company was stretched beyond capacity with hands-on relief efforts, Robert Criner continued to give advice and guidance to anyone who asked. Not only has Criner been featured in local newspapers including: the Daily Press, Inside Business: The Hampton Roads Business Journal and the Yorktown Crier/Poquoson Post he has also spoken at more than thirty education conferences on various aspects of the remodeling and construction industry. Criner has been interviewed and mentioned by various national publications: the Chicago Tribune, the Washington Post, Remodeling Magazine, Kiplinger Magazine, Better Homes & Gardens Remodeling Magazine, Professional Remodeler Magazine, Journal of Light Construction Magazine, and NAHB Nation's Building News. Criner was also featured on several episodes of the television series: Homebuilding Digest on Home and Garden Television ( HGTV ). Robert is married to Aggie and together they have four sons: Adam, Luke, Paul and Drew. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family ; especially his granddaughter Marley Sunshine.
