Congregation Beth Emeth, founded in 1979 and based in Herndon, Va., is affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. It offers a range of programs and services for men, women, youth, children and seniors. The temple has a membership of more than 450 families and offers a variety of clubs, including sisterhood, men's club, United Synagogue Youth, Kadima, Machar youth groups and adult education courses. Beth Emeth is affiliated with a range of secular and religious community organizations, including United Synagogue, Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, Northern Virginia Friends of the Jewish Theological Seminary, Jewish National Fund, B'nai B'rith, Hillel, Gesher Jewish Day School and Hadassah chapter. The worship area accomodates more than 300 people for services and can be reconfigured to seat up to 150 people for meals.
