Community Systems Inc

Founded in 1990 and located in Springfield, Va., Community Systems is a nonprofit organization. It provides residential and basic support services to children, adults and families suffering from various disabilities. The organization also has offices in Sandwich, Mass., Torrington, Conn., and Newark, Del. Community Systems additionally provides residential support to senior adults suffering from autism and other physical disabilities in small group homes, one- and two-bedroom apartments and private homes. It has a special staff of registered nurses and caregivers that provide assistance to senior adults with daily living activities, shopping, banking and preparation of meals. Community Systems also organizes recreational and social activities for its residents. Additionally, the organization offers special programs and rehabilitation therapies for individuals suffering from brain injuries, stroke, trauma and stress-related conditions. It also offers case management services that include health and medication monitoring services, money management, and development of learning and social skills and functional independence in children.
