Commonwealth Academy

Founded in 1997, the Commonwealth Academy is a college preparatory school that offers a range of educational programs to middle and high school students. It provides lessons in English, math, physical education, social studies, science, language arts and computer applications. The academy offers a variety of sports activities, including basketball, swimming, cross-county, tennis, soccer, and track and field. It manages a staff of more than 25 teachers and support personnel. The Commonwealth Academy has a parent-teacher association that plans several community events and supports an annual awards dinner. The academy offers accommodations for students and teachers. The Commonwealth Academy is located in Alexandria, Va.
