Tyler Elementary School
Tyler Elementary School, opened in 1968, is an educational institution that was named for George Grayson Tyler, who was a teacher in the community and served as superintendent of schools. It has an annual enrollment of more than 495 students and a staff of nearly 30 full-time certified teachers. Tyler Elementary School s core curriculum includes math, science, social studies, language arts, English, computer technology, and health and physical education. In addition, the school conducts a special world languages program in Spanish and serves students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. It has various school groups, including the Student Council Association, a parent-teacher organization and school advisory council. Tyler Elementary School is a part of Prince William County Public Schools and is located in Gainesville, Va.
