The Chesapeake Bay Academy, also known as CBA, offers educational opportunities for students with learning and attention disorders in kindergarten through grade 12. Operational since 1989, it maintains a more than 50,000-square-foot facility. The academy is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools and is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Chesapeake Bay Academy offers classes in drawing, painting, digital design and video gaming. It provides several sports activities, such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading and softball. The academy has computer labs that offer graphics and game design classes. It operates the Dominion Education Center, which provides professional development, adjunct career counseling and student assessment services. The Chesapeake Bay Academy has a parents association that conducts several fundraising activities.
